Wednesday: adventures, debates, karaoke and great bands

31 Aug

Oh heck yes! Its Wednesday my fave day of the week! Psshhhtt Friday? oh no no, i love Wednesdays! And this Wednesday will probably be the best one yet granted everything goes as planned…otherwise you can find me moping around town kicking rocks and mumbling to myself.

Oh what’s the special occasion you ask? Oh nothing , i just have an interview with THE BEST Utah magazine ever! SLUG of course! To be honest i am still unclear about what exactly it is i am interviewing for but who cares? its SLUG! Also while i am lallygagging about in the SLC i will be attempting to attend a YELP ELITE family reunion…i still have 2 plus 1’s if anyone wants to come. If you are like most folks and are wondering what the heck yelp is just CHECK THIS OUT and see it in full glory.

After my SLC shenanigans i will be heading back to my one true home, the best place in the universe, OGDEN UTAH and heading over to the union station for some mayoral debates. Finally i get to make one as i have missed the last few, keep an ear out for some indie Ogden crew political debates soon!

After all is said and done i will settle on down at the sand trap for karaoke with Jackson the karaoke dude and my new indie Ogden crew. They are some rad folks so if ya want to meet us in real live person head on over!

Monday: art films, nature and beautiful music

29 Aug

What an amazing weekend it was. Saturday i put on my prettiest dress and my giant hat and went out on an adventure in the desert with some good friends. We explored abandoned places, got a flat tire, took silly photos, got a bit dehydrated and sunburned and of course got a little target practice in. It was nice to get away for a minute and forget about everything i am obligated to do. sometimes we need little getaways , even if it is just a few hours.

I am excited to announce that the new website will be launching on the first. We hit a couple bumps at first but no one is stopping us now and we are all so very excited. I think this first week with the new indie Ogden team has been fantastic and i cant wait to see what the future holds. From here we can only go up right?

24 Aug

Oh boy was the rock n romp fun! I was swamped yesterday with work, errands, prepping for the big party and filming a mini video with Jenny Hansen but it in the end it was all worth seeing a huge crowd of kids get down to some local music! A big thanks to Kristin Guthrie Brandt, Jennifer Raitt Widdison , Ron Atencio, Mojos, nurture the creative mind, DJ Rubicon, Darma Sawyer, Brad Rizer, little cherry blossoms, vintage cupcakes and all of the other rad folks who made tonight possible.

Ahh yes and now it is Wednesday, another day full of endless possibility. Life is short…and confusing…and chaotic but we have to remember to take moments out of the day to stop and pause and reflect and say “thank you universe” for all that we are given. Even in hard times there is always he possibility of greatness if we only believe.

And now for your events….
