It’s Friday! Even though, as a stay at home mom, nothing really changes on the weekend i still get excited about Fridays. Today is especially thrilling with the temperature rising and it being mothers day weekend i just know its going to be an amazing . Today i am going to try and spend as much time in the sun as possible and then take my daughter to first Friday art stroll to check out some local art and of course buy some treats from downtown! I haven’t been downtown in a while and this will be my FIRST, first Friday. I have no idea why I’ve waited so long to attend one but i hear this one is going to be great!

Tomorrow i am going to be be on the radio at 88.1FM @ Weber State at 1pm to talk about Indie Ogden and upcoming local events. I am getting a bit nervous but mostly i am super excited and i would love if y’all could tune in a check it out! Don’t forget to enter my mother’s day giveaway!! Kottage kupbord craft fair:
For over 20 years, the Kottage Kupboard has been bringing the best handcrafted gifts, home, & seasonal decor to Northern Utah. We open our doors just four times a year, in May, October, November and June. As always, our shows are located at the Golden Spike Event Center (Weber County Fairgrounds) in Ogden, UT.

Afternoon tea returns:

The art of pairings:
Wine Pairing, Dinner and Art Show Event- during May’s First Friday Art Stroll. Choose between two four course meal masterpieces prepared by chef John Ewing, with special guest wine sommelier Gayle Sission. Listen to the street musicians and tour the various galleries to enjoy the fine art produced here in Ogden and surrounding area.

mommy and me tea party:
Join us for the first Mommy & Me (or Grandma & Me, etc.!) version of our popular tea party program in celebration of Mothers’ Day! Learn about teas while enjoying a snack, cup of tea, and a song or two all about tea. Make a take-home craft together and celebrate your relationship, Nature Center-style! Appropriate for all ages of children from toddler to adult. RSVP by 5:00 pm May 4th. Space is limited. Ogden nature center 6 – 7:30pm

Tournament of champions- metal edition:
The Basement presents Tournament of Champions – Metal Edition – Round 1
Doors open @ 6:30PM-7:00 – No Memories Kept, 7:45 – Carnivorous Homicide, 8:30 – Hell’s Ambiance, 9:15 – To Ashes. The winner will be announced immediately following the last band’s performance, so stick around until the very end.
